Chas & Frances decided to become landlords after seeing the quality of housing available to their two children when at University in Bath and London. Believing that they could do much better they bought their first house in Coventry in 2002, and became professional landlords a couple of years later.

 

They now concentrate on providing good quality housing to students at a price that won’t break the bank!

   

 

Chas was initially trained as an Engineer and has degrees from Bath and Warwick Uni’s. He now focuses on the maintenance aspects of the houses,making sure that any problems are dealt with quickly and properly.

   

 

Frances has worked extensively in the Hospitality industry, including several years as the manager of halls of residence at leading Colleges and Universities. She is responsible for ensuring that the houses are cleaned to our exacting standards before each tenancy.

Quality is at the very heart of what we do. When a property is first added to our portfolio it undergoes a very thorough renovation. Every item is checked and, if necessary, replaced. This includes flooring, roof, windows, doors, central heating system, bathrooms, kitchens. You name it!

 

This means that when we declare a house ready for letting it will have full double glazing and gas central heating. The kitchen will be newly fitted with with adequate cupboards, worksurface and tiled splashbacks, cooker with cooker hood, fridge/freezer and washing machine.  There will be a modern bathroom, normally including a shower over the bath and extractor fan. New curtains, net curtains and laminate flooring or carpets throughout, with tiles or cushion floor in the kitchen and bathroom.  And an excellent standard of decoration throughout.

 

And then, between each tenancy the house will have been fully inspected, cleaned and all maintenance issues addressed, ensuring that it’s clean and ready for the incoming tenants.

 

And it doesn’t stop there. When things go wrong a quick ‘phone call or e-mail to us and our dedicated in-house maintenance team will be on hand to solve the problem.
